Liberia’s Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection has signed an agreement with US technology company Cybastion to build five technology hubs where women can train in digital and business skills while their children are cared for on site, The Liberian Investigator reports.
Minister Gbeme Horace Kollie and Cybastion chief executive Thierry Wandji Ketchiozo signed the Liberia Women’s Digital and Economic Empowerment Program on 23 September in New York, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
The 36-month programme plans a flagship campus in Monrovia and hubs in Voinjama, Gbarnga, Kakata and Buchanan. Cybastion is to design, build, equip and run the centres.
