Liblaw, which describes itself as Liberia’s largest digital law library, has launched CJ Lewis, billed as the country’s first legal-learning artificial intelligence platform, The New Dawn reports.
The tool was unveiled on 31 July at a press briefing in Monrovia. Managing Director Kim A. Harris said it was built to make legal information accessible to ordinary Liberians rather than only specialists.
CJ Lewis runs on the Liblaw platform and gives plain-language explanations of the law within seconds, according to the report. As with any AI tool, it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified lawyer.
