The Liberia Telecommunications Authority says 89 public high schools have been connected to high-speed internet under the government’s 156-school connectivity project, The Liberian Investigator reports via allAfrica.
Speaking at the Ministry of Information’s press briefing, LTA Chairman Clarence K. Massaquoi said no public high school had internet when he took office, and that the remaining schools were expected online within two weeks.
He linked the project to the President’s digital transformation agenda and to the UN goal of connecting every school worldwide by 2030.
